How did we get here?

I don't know. I was asleep. I'm embarrassed to admit that I did not even vote until I was in my mid-twenties. My excuse was "Why vote for the better liar? They all have blood on their hands." Well, I'm awake and I'm not going back to sleep! I'm going to shout FREEDOM from the roof tops and hope someone joins me! This country is worth fighting for! Our founding fathers made GREAT SACRIFICES to give us a Republic and our constitution. What have we done with them? I'm sorry Mr. Franklin for all your hard work, but I'm starting to wonder if we "can keep it" (Our Republic, that is). Oh wake up! Listen to the clarion call of our Liberty Bell and RUN with me to her rescue!

I don't know how this will end. I don't know what history will say about us. So many people around the world are fighting for freedom. Iran has had many protests and much blood shed over the past year. They are fighting for freedom. We, we are GIVING OURS AWAY! "Any Society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." - Benjamin Franklin. Washington is working in the dark of night, behind closed doors. Anything virtuous and good does not need to be hidden! We must return to self reliance, personal accountability, courage, and integrity! We must not be remembered as the generation that lost the Republic!
